Haunted For My Soul Poem by Myrtle Thomas

Haunted For My Soul

Where I go you follow
ever present, unwanted foe
ever in the depth of my mind
you hang on not letting go

Thoughts of the flesh haunt me
entice my mind to entertain your evil way
flee from me! when I call out his name
for his word is my refuge, night and day
You know me in my weakness
but in that weakness I am strong
' for the blood of Christ Jesus was shed for my soul '
it was your choice Satan, to choose right or wrong

Soon your time will come, to be locked away in chains
for your reign on earth will cease for a thousand years
loosed for a time to trick and deceive the innocent
and after that you'll be destroyed, void of regret and tears.
