Have Ticket, Must Fly Poem by Robert Melliard

Have Ticket, Must Fly

I didn't really choose to leave.
There was a plane to catch;
a family celebration to attend.
It was arranged.

In spite of such excuses,
I could have stayed,
and that wrong turning,
that choice I never made,
will haunt me, on and off,
till my last day...
