Have you watched a lark ascending carolling upwards as he does fly
Till he only becomes a small speck in the early morning sky
And ever fainter becomes his carolling as in gray clouds he disappear
Though the faintness of his music midst the cloud World one can hear.
Have you ever watched the baby moorhens on a Spring morning bright and cool
Whilst from the water reeds their mother watches as they swim in river pool
And the moment she detects your presence she utters a harsh shrill cry
Which they recognize as a warning and they quickly disappear from danger's eye.
Have you watched young male roos sparring in the early morning sun
What to us seems just playacting to them really not much fun
They are preparing themselves for mob ruling battles when for the right to mate they fight
For to father baby joeys only the strongest win the right.
Have you watched the fishing gannets dive from great heights to the sea
And then fly up out of the big waves an amazing sight to see
Such marvellous things of beauty we see in Nature every day
Which never costs us any money for such a privilege we don't have to pay.
