Haven'T They Told You? Poem by Leslie Alexis

Haven'T They Told You?

Haven't they told you?
Jah dun bless me,
It doesn't depend on you.
He'll be there
When I need him
Dat he promised he'll do

Why worry,
Why be sorry?
With him, I'll make it through
Like Sampson, like David, my giant him slew.

His word he kept,
His word he'll do.
He speaks it and it comes through.
check the sky, up there on high.
If this he made,
What can't he do?

He tells no lie
Oh that's my cry
He says it and it do.
He spoke to the wind,
Ol' time that been...
He's free from sin.
Do you catch my spin?
What can't he do?

His life he gave,
For you and me,
Serve him me want do...

He keeps me
He blesses me.
Can't pay by what I do.
HE does it all for free!
Dear Jesus, my Jesus!
I thank you!
