Having Built Their Empire Upon A Mound Of Sand.
we were taught about the ants
and the grasshoppers
how food must be stored for
the coming rainy season to spare
how play must be avoided
how complacency often leads to
misery
the story simply ended there
with all the ants victorious as the grasshoppers
lay dead carried by the flood
hungry and cold...
and the ants too for having built their
empire upon a mound of sand.
