Hawaiian Moment Poem by Meg Harrison

Hawaiian Moment

We are walking on the beach
with a pina colada in one hand
and my other hand is around
my lover within reach.

my lover sees a message in the blue sky.
It says her name as the airplane passes by
I put my pina colada down
I place her ring on her finger
with a smile on my face.
her cheeks are red as her lips with no frown.
I love her more than a pina colada
we are coming back to Hawaii
my lover and me.
