He Died Poem by Juan Olivarez

He Died

Rating: 5.0

he died,
And all his world did mourn.
Souls that had known him,
Since the day he had been born.

he died,
And tears flowed down like rain.
Because his untimely passing,
Caused them great sorrow and pain.

he died,
Leaving a vacuum in so many hearts.
So much sorrow there was,
To see him depart.

he died,
And the funeral procession followed for miles.
And on all faces in attendance,
not the smallest of smiles.

he died,
And it was a sad day, in the little town.
And everyone cried,
When they laid him in the ground.

he died,
And on the coffin fell the pallbearers gloves.
he would have been so happy,
To see how he was loved.

Wonderful poem Juan, I guess we would all like to believe that we were loved after our demise. Very well written and expressed.
