He Loved Me In Spite Of The Worst Poem by Singleton M. Tate

He Loved Me In Spite Of The Worst

He loved me in spite of the worst... I could do.
His love so amazing as, He pulled me through.
All of my worst of times. Trapped behind enemy lines.
God never abandons... His grace is yet true.

I opened my heart to the sins of my past.
Yes, God sent me warnings,
that it would end bad.
This trial I've seen before,
as 'Lust' knocked on my door.
I was that fool
Who would just... Let him in.

In retrospect, I didn't put up a fight.
Resist the devil with
all of my might.
The pleasures of 'Sin'
are so strong.
You might be tempted,
but hold on.
The Victory's yours
Stand fast... You will win!

Remember the 'Rules of Engagement', that's all.
Put on the whole 'Armour of God', you won't fall.
Prey to that old snake
and his lies.
Deceiving mankind
in disguise.
Trust and obey God
The Saviour... Is Paradise!

Reprise...

He loved me in spite of the worst... I could do.
His love so amazing as, He pulled me through.
All of my worst of times. Trapped behind enemy lines.
God never abandons... His grace is yet true.

He'll love you in spite of the worst... you could do.
With love so amazing as, He pulls you through.
All of your worst of times. Trapped behind enemy lines.
God never abandons... His grace is for you.

He'll love you in spite of the worst... you could do.
With love so amazing as, He pulls you through.
All of that defeat in your mind. Trapped behind enemy lines.
God never abandons... His grace is for you.
God never abandons... His grace is yet true.
