He Predicts Poem by David Darbyshire

He Predicts

Rating: 5.0

A bird flew in from the west,
he was a little out of breath.
His heart was pumping in his chest,
he was the first to land he was the best.

He looked around, if it was safe
this guy was alone he was a waif.
So for him to find a friend,
would help his heart mend.

He saw a bird high on the wire,
then he sang with such desire.
It was great he passed the test,
now they started to build a nest.

When it was done, a song they sung.
Of two birds in love and their young.
Soon the nest was full of happy chirping chicks,
The little bird was so happy, next year the same he predicts.
