Headstrong Poem by Juliauna (J.jay) Maddux

Headstrong

Rating: 3.5

You're moving on from a broken heart,
You're picking up the peices of it falling apart.
Picturing life in the arms of someone else,
Fixing your future, doing whatever helps.
You are determined to do all of this mending,
None of this is what you were intending.
You did not expect to feel pain,
How could you predict a firery rain?
But now everything has passed,
And the things you thought would, did not last.
Although it hurt so bad,
and all those moments you had.
are replaying in your head.
making you cry in your bed.
You are still standing.
You are proud and demanding.
No more will you allow yourself to be crushed
No more will your words be hushed.

I am standing
and i am demanding.
What has happened is only part of my past.
Not everything has the strength to last.
I am ready to face the world
although i am only a girl.

I am headstrong
and i will take anything on.

Headstrong is a very great piece and encouraging poem. Whatever the gender we push the the past behind and face the future! ! !
