Heal Poem by Courtney Gomo

Heal

It's funny how love pushes us,
all the way to our breaking point.
Where the pain of one is felt by three,
cause our hearts are combined. Joint!

The smile of one is that of the other,
a sisterhood so fierce, its impregnable.
With time, we've come to prove that,
Although individually we're weak, together we're capable.

Stronger with each hardship,
rising higher with each compression.
Cause at the deepest of each soul,
is where we find the best protection.

Mending hearts as they break,
catching tears as they fall.
Even from a million miles away,
you know we'll hear a sister's call.

Stronger than giant covalents,
the kind of love that is real.
Here is a sister's promise,
'I'll nurse you till you heal'.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Once my sister was heartbroken and everyone of us was in pain with her and I wrote this poem for her as consolation, and we conquered through together.
