Hear Me! Poem by Marriet ifunanya

Hear Me!

Rating: 4.0

So many things juggling up into reality
The cry is intense and deafening
Immorality is raging
Offended that good taste sweeter than it
Listen carefully
So many have tried in regrets
Going back to a point of no return
Their laughter is but sorrows ignored
Lessons we fail to learn
So much price to pay for this journey
This is a lost train in a tunnel of darkness
How else can you find it?
If you won’t accept the light
We hear them waiting for his return
You too are wearing the garment
Preparing a feast for a beast
Immorality is vain
Hear me!
This is a battle it shouldn’t win
Can’t you feel the pain of your dyeing soul?
How can you sell that which is priceless?
Tragedy is its name
And yes! We let it befall us
Eating away our humanity
Hear me! If you are blind enough to see

The wording calls for action...if it was to buckle my shoes...i did with these questions: Can’t you feel the pain of your dyeing soul? How can you sell that which is priceless? Honestly, you are good.
