Heart Poem by Kavitha Krishnamurthy

Heart

A secret chamber with precious chattels
Dwells in the crux, covertly concealed
All the emotions reside within
Buried deep, reclines inside

Eye is the foyer to this chamber
Whatever allures is given a place
A great charlatan belonging to you
but does bop to someone else's tune

When it feels something special
It starts pounding boisterously
An embodiment of love and care
Contrasting to the mind, liquefies soon

Tainted contemplation that arises in the mind
Are brought in to the heart through the veins
Heart is unblemished, purifies your thoughts
Till you breathe, it does beat

Each and every heart beat sends a memorandum
Passes through the artery and is echoed by the eyes
Whenever you are trapped, solicit your heart
Ponder with your heart, it won't let you down
