Heart Of A Slave Poem by venessa ambrose

Heart Of A Slave

Rating: 5.0

With the torture
The chains and pains
The wounds and heat
And my dead decayed dreams

I found love
It was the sole purpose of my existence
The pull that make my breath
It was the only light in the torture house

With chained lips i shared a breath with you
Your touch on my injuries brings me but joyful misery
Even their wisp couldn't steal your thrust
Cos our love was built on trust

Take away my breath
I know no use of it
The only pride i had on earth
Has gone by the master's gun
