Heart's Story Poem by Jack Abdallah

Heart's Story

Here's a small story
Now this story's just begun
Met a cute little stranger
Could she be the one?
Her eyes glow, hair shines
Her smile I adore
Something about this girl
I simply can't ignore
Sweet little small talks
Moments of laughter
Who knew that she would
Be the one I'm after
Our eyes catch, deep stares
We don't care who sees us
When I'm lost in her eyes
There's nothing between us
We hung out, late nights
She kept me in tune
Replays in my head
Of seeing her soon
Ran short runs, long runs
Who knows for how long
As I ran beside her
I fell but stood strong
Want her but nothing more
Can happen just yet
I wish I held on
As I did when we met
I lost her with one blow
My heart bares pain
Even though she's gone
My love goes insane
Here's my heart's story
It's told to no end
To say she means nothing
Is the same as pretend
