Heartbreak Poem by McKenzie Kubicek

Heartbreak

Rating: 3.5

Heart break
I guess that is what happens.
You date someone for two years,
Then just like that…
We were no more.
Two years of emotional torture.
You got a flight ticket to come see me,
But ripped it up ‘cause "I made you mad."

Every night when you talked to me was painful.
You tore me apart into the tiniest pieces.
Till I was nothing
The tiny grain of sand, you step on.

If that was "real love"
I never want to love again
Not to you, not to anyone
I was a piece of garbage
You threw out and kept picking up again.
The soccer ball you kicked around, till I popped from the abuse
That old pair of shoes you kept, looked at, acknowledged, Then got a new pair.
Then I became dirt to you. But you kept coming back and I stupidly kept believing
I stayed because I was afraid to love Anyone else.
That is all that I was too you.
Yet never your star who shined through your darkest times,
You had another for that.

Now you're coming back to me
NO!
No more heartbreak.
