It's the worst
When I'm laying down
In the dark, without a sound
When I don't want to go to sleep
To close my eyes and have those dreams
Filled with memories
Memories of you holding me so tightly
Like you never knew anyone like me
Or teaching me how to dance
Making me feel like I had our future in my hands
Or we had a future at all
Now it's gone, it's slipped away, into the Fall
The leaves are changing
It's so beautiful outside
I walk down the street
Without you by my side
You used to talk about Christmas
How it made you feel warm
Spending it cuddling me into your arms
Sitting by the fire
With the Christmas tree beaming
Half of our relationship I felt like I was dreaming
Could this guy really love me?
Never get tired & always pursue me?
Pick me up when I'm down
Make it better just by listening without a sound
Wanted to comfort me when I'm stressed, lonely, feeling upset
Did you forget?
In two days
It all changed
She got married
And you slipped away
I was there to ease your pain
Tell you why I loved you
Not knowing you didn't feel the same
So what about me?

Another girl knocking at your door
I let myself fall in love
Not knowing you would hurt me this much
You know I honestly loved you
And I'll always wonder if you honestly loved me too
If you still want me
Still love me
I made you happy
How could you up & leave me all alone
Like I was just a stepping stone
On your journey of finding the one
Mine stopped with you
And it can never be undone
