Heartbroken. Poem by Alee Bowman

You say you love me,
I know you don't.
You say you'll be mine forever,
I know you won't.
It took some time for me to see,
That you and I,
Just weren't meant to be.
Oh how I will miss you when your gone,
But maybe one day,
I might just move on.
The time we spent together was great.
But we tried to fix us,
Much too late.
I will never forget your place in my heart.
Nor will I forget,
That day we fell apart.
But the thing that I won't forget most is true,
I really, truly did love you.
