Heartily Spoken Poem by Ndeipanda Aindongo

Heartily Spoken

One could liken a neighbors heart to a landlocked island.
paradoxically,
Loving yet orchestrating evil the same instant.
To understand one has to experience first hand
the horrors perpetrated by those who's hearts lie vacant
ironically,
to this reality, the populous remains yet to be awakened.
Heartily matters require stern precautions
For if not, it may break the floodgates of emotions.
And surely,
Not to love is treason against the heart,
Man must, thou it may tear the heart apart.

The heart speaks when thoughts are tardy,
For ere you thought; the heart said
It reacts quicker than a little birdie
Upon which a molted eagle preys.
So, emotions which thy heart devour,
periodically
Come and go, as minutes by the hour.
