Hearts Cry Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Hearts Cry

This dream
won't die
Saying so
just a lie

From me
you cannot pry
Without hope
I can never fly

You need
but deny
I quit, in frustration
and re-try

Life creeps
and then runs
as days sadly go by
But no goodbye

Silence separates
Hearts cry
Can't let this love
fade away or die

Gentle kindness
does remind
Lfe perseveres
and isn't blind

I feel a spark
in both heart and mind
Forever you stay
a most precious find

If just to hold you,
heart's entwined,
sadness would unwind
In time we'd find

Impossibly, I need you
I feel the longing grow
Somehow my heart
does already know

Your feelings pure and soft
I trust they'll again show
and stay by my side
and never go

Your heart
Inside of you
I sense I already know
and can't let go

So I wait a little longer, hope it will show
before I leave or you must go
Because your love
I wish somehow to know

But if we fail
I want you to know
I aleady loved you
Since the moment go
Before silence did grow
