Heaven’s Glory To Share Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Heaven’s Glory To Share

Thank God I’m safe and in The ark
Thank God my eyes now see
No longer am I in the dark
Careless and fancy free

Conforming to the devil’s will
To Satan’s vicious plan
I sought full lust to get my fill
Of all displayed to man

Watching the world each day revolve
Walking the path of fools
Extravagant with no resolve
Breaking so many rules

Thanks be to God for grace divine
Displayed on Calvary’s Tree
Making salvation yours and mine
Through Jesus’ death quite free

So effortless it seems to sound
So simple its advance
Transfiguring to higher ground
Is not a choice by chance

Obedient through Jesus Christ
Dying to flesh and bone
The Father sees each sacrifice
We lay at Heaven’s throne

Consulting God in all our ways
His righteous will above
Then to our feet throughout our days
His light will shine in love

We’ve nothing more or less to do
Than love with tender care
The Lord our God, our neighbours too
Heaven’s glory to share
