Heavenly Scent Poem by Richard Snow Jr.

Heavenly Scent

Rating: 5.0

A warm summer breeze brought her fragrance to me.
I looked up just in time to see this was not a fantasy.
My senses intoxicated spoke to me,
this is class, something one doesn't allow to pass.
She spoke to me as my heart, touched by her grace,
sought to receive her within what must be a heavenly place.
We began to converse and the aura of our verse
said to the universe, this woman was heavenly scent.
Her presence did not over power, but instead empowered
and those present bore witness, that yes, this was not
coincidence, but a divine incident.
We began to converse and the aura of our verse
Said to all around, this woman was heavenly scent.
She did not possess wings but things she said
Sent one's thoughts into flight as if they possess wings.
I may have been headed for a love TKO but I
had to let her know, that yes, I felt our meeting
was blessed and my heart told me, this is the best.
We began to converse and the aura of four verse,
said to all around, this woman was heavenly scent.
In return for my devotion, she now displayed
emotion and destiny showed us our Future course
The moon was full as were my senses, I felt
defenseless, but courageous as our conversation
uplifted the night and our senses sought flight
in dawn's early morning light.
This is you and this is me and nature has dictated
our placement among the stars and our desires
though human were heavenly scent.
