Heidi Poem by Justin Gildow

Heidi

Older than me
Younger than you
We drove each other crazy
When we were young
But we did it with love

I'll never forget Heidi
When you looked after me
In and out of the old house

Years have passed
And we're so much older now Heidi
Sometimes I think of you
And wonder how you are
I hope you think of me
And wonder how I am
Though I know
Right now, we're doing just fine
Even with what life and the world throws at us

I can feel your presence with me
When I think of the old house
It's something that never leaves me
It'll always be there
Perhaps for the rest of my life
