Hell Breaks Loose Poem by Ayan Dasgupta

Hell Breaks Loose

Hell breaks loose
At every spark
To garnish souls
With passion dark
Bless the dreary
With mystic spell
Boon or bane?
Who can tell…

‘Tis neither far
Nor close at hand
Like the sea is sea
And land is land
What more from me
Can humdrum take?
I gambled life
For passions sake

My love for life –
A lifelong lust,
Must see the end,
Till end I must
Stick to the pace
Till every trace
Of sinful charm
Lies in its grace
