Hell's Not Cosy Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Hell's Not Cosy

When life's good, when thoughts are rosy
Everything's fine and fair
Everything's well, living's cosy
Who gives a thought to prayer

Quality reigns, love fills our zone
Who gives a thought to pray
God's not needed, Heaven's unknown
Who cares what others say

God resides in thoughts of losers
Wretches always in need
Religion only confuses
Seeking the blind to lead

But spare a moment's time in thought
Is all the world like you?
Examine Christ Jesus' report
Leading to life anew

Think of the times when seemed dim
When difficult to smile
Would you, or did you think of Him
Though even a while

Man's inner thoughts are not his own
Devils can also share
Heaven can melt a heart of stone
To pray Christ Jesus there

Consider well, give it a try
Dwell not on scoffers lies
On earth we all, one day will die
Yet every soul will rise

When one's thoughts will be abundant
When Christ our God we'll see
Where your prayer will be redundant
From hell to set you free.....
