Hello Old Friend Poem by katie norton

Hello Old Friend

Hello old friend
How has it been
Lying beneth my bed
Longing to be used
To cut the flesh of my skin
The wound not only on my wrist
But stabbed in my heart

Hello old friend
How has it been
Lying in the cabinet
Ready for taking
To eat away at my insides
The damage not only to my brain
But stabbed in my heart

Hello old friend
You did this to me
Caused me so much pain that I couldn’t breath
You told me you hated me
When you turned to leave
So I turned to old friends
Like the knife to my sleeve
I drank the oxi cotton
And cut my wrist

Hello old friend,
You know,
You caused this.
