Hello There Poem by Feranmi okafor

Hello There

Hello there,
The lady who sits alone at gatherings,
Please don’t frown,
Turn that frown upside down,
I want to give you a little love,
Please let it touch your hearts alcove.

Hello there,
The man who’s always angry,
Please don’t be frustrated,
It’ll soon be memories faded,
I want to give you a little love,
Please let it sink in; don’t shove.

Hello there,
Are you listening to me? ,
I just hope you are,
Hard exterior; soft interior,
Act superior; feel inferior,
I want to give you a little love,
Take it; don’t be deprived of.

Hello there,
Can you hear me? ,
I hope you can,
Forgiving; not forgetting,
Bad attitude; never relenting,
I want to give you a little love,
Accept it; please don’t shove.

Hello there,
Can you see me,
I hope you do,
Trapped in your own world,
Undermining yourself; caging yourself,
I want to give you a little love,
Let it heal you, spread your wings; fly like a dove.

Hello there,
I want to give you a little love,
Please let it touch your hearts alcove…
