Help Me To Steer My Ship (Dedicated To Lord Shri Krishna) Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

Help Me To Steer My Ship (Dedicated To Lord Shri Krishna)

Rating: 5.0

Help me to steer my ship ‘O' God
Upon this vast and turbulent worldly sea,
Where the strong waves of desire, lust and anger,
Lashes out on the bow mercilessly.

God guide me through the treacherous sea
Raging to overturn my tottering ship,
But if You are there with me always
I shall blissfully court any hardship.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
N.B. In Hinduism Lord Krishna is considered to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu is identical to the formless metaphysical concept called Brahman, the supreme, the Svayam Bhagavan, who takes various avatars as 'the preserver, protector' whenever the world is threatened with evil.

A prayer so beautifully written with humility and honesty of how fragile mankind really is as we struggle through the storms of life, we realize spiritual guidance is our anchor!
