Helping You

Sit in your room
Make me cry a tear, a tear,
This life is a nightmare
And it’s time for my fears.
Show me light and
Speak tonight to me.
Saying goodbye’s the hardest thing
To say to you and to sing.

When you cry I feel your pain
And it’s tearing at my soul
I can’t stand to hear you suffer
So I make my misery external.

Show me that you can follow through
And I’ll help you fight the demon,
I’ll show no mercy when he comes for you
Even if it means he take me instead,
Making my life done.

Poem of the Day

poet Sarah Flower Adams

O Love! thou makest all things even
In earth or heaven;
Finding thy way through prison-bars
Up to the stars;
Or, true to the Almighty plan,
That out of dust created man,
