Her And I Are Two Different People Poem by Jaz Flores

Her And I Are Two Different People

The way she walks,
Such grace, such beauty,
Had I not seen her legs I would have thought she was floating.
Her face is a glowing beauty, more radiant than the sun,
Her gait is as flawless as an angel's,
Her voice is like a perfect song,
She dances with elegance,
Her golden flowing hair is delicate and perfect.

Now look at me,
I walk sloppily, tripping on everything I come across,
You can see how clumsy i am when i walk,
My face is not close to being beautiful, much less radiant,
My gait is wreckless and disastrous, like that of a newborn foal,
My voice is weak and raspy, nowhere close to music,
I dance with loose careless moves,
My dark hair is dull and plain,

But as I sit,
I realize that its the imperfections that make us who we are,
We need not be compared to another,
We don't need to be beautiful or perfect,
We just need to be ourselves...
