Her Heart Beguiled Poem by Sylvia Lukeman

Her Heart Beguiled

Rating: 5.0

A time there was
before they met
her lips forgot
just how to smile.

but with his
lips and words so fair
he soon her
heart and her
beguiled.

his love brought back
the shine into
her once dulled saddened eyes.

her love for him
no longer hid
and quickly
threw off
its veiled disguise

oh! beautiful Love
who brought to her
a warmth, a shield, a joy
that she would never forget.
