Her Man. Poem by Sherayne Rego

Her Man.

The way he looked.
Confidence was his mate.
The way he smiled.
She was scared of falling, at this rate.
The way he made her laugh.
How did he do it so well?
The way he looked into her eyes.
She was falling. Anyone could Tell.
The way he calmed her fears.
She was at peace.
The way he made her his
With utmost ease.
The way he annoyed the daylight out of her
She was addicted to him.
The way he always left her in awe
He was a fantasy. Her whim.
The way he addressed her
It was her, for whom he longed
The way he took her in his arms
He said that was where she belonged.
The way he touched her
Every cell in her called out his name
The way he loved her,
He could put anybody's love to shame.
