Her Pepper And Tyko Poem by Bernadeth Tolentino

Her Pepper And Tyko

Tyko is like a blooming flower,
lively petals so light.
Pepper is closed forever,
like a rose bud, sealed tight.

Tyko is like the ruler of a kingdom,
loud happy, and never wrong.
Pepper is like a common person,
hiding quietly and following along.

Tyko’s ears dropp as low as a puppy’s;
Pepper’s stand as tall as a proud mothers;
Tyko’s coat is rough and dusty;
Pepper has coffee-like brown fur.

Tyko thrives on love and attention;
to please his master is his own passion.
like an only son with one desire-
to become the thing that most admire.

Pepper is like a silent child of four years;
hiding from the darkness and all of her fears.
pacing the room in slow meander;
waiting for her owner to praise and embrace her.

Though Tyko may get eyes and smiles,
Pepper will never get my denial.
