Here and There

Here and There
it does not matter
for where you are
or that matter
where I am

gone to

Some small forsaken town
a port in New York
along a canal
where few now travel
on its ways by water
has seen better days

Riverboat Capitan
sail barge down
locks lifting
rising to higher ground
ferry travelers
to new frontiers
this did happen
I imagine

further off and away

in Venice
flooded corridors
on gondola lounging
plunge staff
hit bottom
take me along for a ride
overhead stone passage ways stretch
arched stone trusses
take me under

Ancient structures
supporting palisades crumble
where opulence meets decay
sit atop fragility
gracing waters edge
course the waters

back again
home I am

On the lawn
now July
that time of year
when green serpents lay waiting in the grass
snakes their way along
feel the spray that they spit
back and forth sprinkle over
falling drops of comfort
cooling skin
like dew of early morn
every blade covered
hair on my arms catch
frosted silver mist blanket covers

Summers mid-day dreaming type of day

shoulder to ear resting

Roman piazza
edge of iconic fountain sit
see Triton atop shell
supporting dolphins
spilling sprays of water over
bronze patina
by the centuries
color altered
this where water pours from splashing
trickles down my arm
sensation of miniscule streams
finding their way to palms turned up
to finger tips drip
fall upon leg
jogs me back from other place

here I am
now and again

Across far away scapes I look
to far away lands I am took
just imagine
how it takes me
I do not care
free passage till it wakes me
take my arm private escorte
carry off
when you can

Here and There

There I am

Treasure to find is in all over the land and over the oceans..scattered, secret and untold...Here and there, fascinating life, world, historic site, cultures around our footsteps in our way to find the treasure hidden....the treasure you may find not may gold but the knowledge, wisdom and lesson in everyplace you stepped on..But no matter where you went, still home can whispering you something duck return before night hahaha_Soul
