Here Comes Your Moses Poem by Rex-mayor Ubini

Here Comes Your Moses

To a black people
On the lips of the world
All eyes on you,
Today your Moses is called
All eyes on you.

Look up to the snake on the rock’s hair,
You shall win,
Yes you shall win.

In the event of this fight
against the Egyptian pharaohs
Curses clogged your tongues
at the face of the bloody sea.
But be ready to cross it
With fearless courage.
The Egyptians you see today,
Tomorrow will join the dinosaur.
Your Moses shall see it,
But will have it with the dinosaur.

When fate wakes,
We hope to see it in Aaron’s eyes.
Remember me when it you realise.
