Herodotus Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Herodotus

I am told
(Right or wrong)
He told to the Persians:
“A slave’s life you understand...
But have never tasted liberty...”

I am seed
(What we have admired,
Both Persians and the Greeks)
Of Iran

In this talk I ponder
And swim and wonder
