Hidden Help Of The Traffic Poem by Vinod Vijayakumar

Hidden Help Of The Traffic

It was half past seven,
I was leaving for my home town,
I undoubtedly will call it heaven,
but the ticking time made me frown

Packed all my things and left home,
reached a bus stop and waited for one,
No time to watch and stand, and
it was a question of my travel planned.

My travel was scheduled to start at nine,
but traffic was getting into my nerve up to spine.
It was getting too late and also i cant run.
so took an auto to the nearest station.

Had no other go but to wait for a bus
couldn't find one and I was in total fuss.
At ten past eight, came a bus and that,
to the worst of my time, had a tyre flat.

Called one of my friends to ask,
if he was at office and done with his task,
and take his help and reach the station
but he was already at his personal location.

With just a few minutes of gap,
did I hire a personal cab.
Vehicles were static for more than a mile,
and the wheels only rolled few inches in a while.

Shouting, yelling, honk and beep,
were heard from each and every jeep.
Such a heavy traffic handled by one cop,
who was dazed showing to move or to stop.

Crawling in the roads inch by inch,
found a narrow street on the left which,
took us, though longer, to the destination
after such a long duration of commotion.

Reached the bus stop with a few minutes delay
and found out that the bus didn't stay.
Yet boarded the inching bus in that total mess.
Happy that even there the traffic was in full stress.
