Hidden Hindrances Poem by Gautam Sen

Hidden Hindrances

Odium persists in painful brutal weeds,
exciting egos of many obnoxious seeds
breeding into all venomous thorny plants;
envy evolves to fall in dire state of trance.

Lesson we can learn from the rainbow-print.
With diverse hues, nature leaves subtle hints;
having tolerance and sweet acceptance
birds fly and brooks stream- flowers bloom fragrance.

Nature never compares, but sadly enough
we do ridicule us as laughing stuff -
spite in full spate generates detachment,
camaraderie's crashing to fragments.

Friendship gets frenzied beyond expectation,
stifling relationship with shaking vision,
blissful gift of almighty gets torn and clawed
as a deprived heart fails while blood-flow clods.

Simplicity is considered as a foolish pride,
faith and trust tremble with skeptical tide,
doubts kindling fire of conspicuous rift;
dirty prongs be torn, let there be face-lift.
