HIDDEN SANCTUARY

I keep a patch of blue sky, and a clump of
forest's verdant green;
In a secluded corner of my mind!
I also keep some hidden love in an unseen
chamber of my heart, -
Away from the preying eyes of the world!
So that on some hot and sunny noon,
I can rest under the forest's cool shade!
And on some rainy day, my caged soul can
look up and see,
That patch of blue sky and breathe free!
And while travelling through the arid desert
of loveless life,
Should I find her standing bereft of love,
We both can sit beneath a green shade,
Under the canopy of the blue sky above,
And shower upon her all my love!
