oh night's eyes; shine some of your light on me
I won't come out until I can see past these clouds
earth's seasons are slow turning pages
that we diminish for low wages
your stubbornness eclipses my curiosity in which you'll not oblige
until I've spoken for all mankind and admitted our greed
I poke my head beyond a bush to watch two comets spar
the dying flame makes a final push and winks at me from afar
