Hide-N-Seek Poem by Heather Devlin

Hide-N-Seek

Shaking. Heartbreaking.
Alone and afraid.
The voices inside me all say its a game.
No razors or scissors, earrings or pins,
I'll never get any of those back again.
The doctors are talking,
Can't hear what they've said,
'If she'd lost anymore she'd have ended up dead! '
Goddamnit! They caught me.
Now hide-n-seek's done.
I should have cleaned up where the blood had run.
