Hiding In The Rough Poem by Alfred Ramos

Hiding In The Rough

Sometimes life can be so tough
But we can’t run and hide in the rough

Much of life can be manicured
So much, reality can become obscured

Hiding in the geometry of a relationship
May sound kind of hip

But the numbers don’t lie
And excuses don’t fly

If you like living on the fringe of insanity
Wont to give up an ounce of your vanity

Then sanity will snowball into an unknown weight
A conflict of the heart cannot infiltrate

Time becomes borrowed, laboring every sense
And the tall grass does not make a fence

A swing and a miss do not provide an ultimatum
The only option is the truth, verbatim

The back draft only ruffles the feather of the gallery
And it is not you who pays their salary

There is no secret ingredient to a successful relationship
But many ships have been sunk by many a loose lip

The beauty of love is the ability to openly
Spread your canvas and paint your own rainbow for all to see
