Hiding Within The Shadows Poem by Brooklynn Montanna Mariee Matthews

Hiding Within The Shadows

I'm lying here in a cold dark room
Nowhere to run, you caused the gloom
The wind blows through the curtains
Causing fright, I'm uncertain

Is it you, again
Are you here to cause more pain within
I curl into a ball, watching the shadows as they fall
Whispers, I hear you call

Am I alone in this tomb
Or are you outside this room
Quietly I sit up to look out
Wondering when I will get about

But all I see is you
I sit back down and count the cracks in the wall
They're getting bigger as they hear your call
I hide my face and block myself
fore I know you'll be ready to kill oneself

I'm lying here in a cold dark room
Nowhere to run, you caused the gloom
The wind blows through the curtains
Causing fright, I'm uncertain

You're on your way I hear your whispers through the dark
They're right outside the door, where am I to go, I'm hiding within the shadows

I'm sitting in the back rows of this unknown place
Hearing the sounds of you as you race to find me
Oh what a tragedy, you have me

This is the end I know
For as I see your eyes, they glow
Through the night the radiance caches my soul

Now you're really gaining control
It's over, I know
It's over, here I go
It's over, it's over now..
