High Built Barriers Poem by Amy Kerswell

High Built Barriers

Barriers built so high.
For noone to get around.
Noone will see.
This creature in distress.
Noone can see how much I hurt.

With barries built
A million feet high.
With a slight sigh.
Noone can reach me.
They cant get in my head.

Barriers so high.
For noone to get around.
Barries built in
Built all around me.

Barriers keep me safe.
No one can get in.
No one can take me.
With my barriers so high

Sometimes those barriers are very necessary. I like this because it shows a sheltered soul that has been hurt so much, it needs to feel safe. I know about hurt and feeling safe I have done it so much. But those barriers are slowly coming down, little by little. There may be only one that may stay tho. You have written another very good poem to make a body think Amy. Thanx for sharing. Barbara
