High School Play Poem by Kewayne Wadley

High School Play

Rating: 5.0

We..
We attended an high school play..
Not as her.
Not as I..
But as We..
A place we've both been but still exists
Outside of We..
The Downside to everywhere we looked.
The make out sessions seen behind dark eyes..
The Brooding conversations awaiting to be walked past..
The Topic of conversation..
Not as her.
Not as I..
But as We..
The eyes that stare at the clock..
Forever paused.
Lengthy dialogue..
Social distraction soon to roam
The halls.
A utopia filled of cannibals.
We ran.
We laughed..
We sought freedom.
Lectures passed from tongue to tongue
Of the teachers that kissed beneath the smoking sign.
The cruel squeal of chalk soon to be wiped by the waste basket filled with
Wads of paper.
Walls filled with cat poster philosophys.
Differences between direct and alternating current.
Sent to another curriculum.
A jolt of electricity sent to the brain.
Electrified.
Brain dead.
Not as We.
Not as her.
But as I
As the Recipient
Of electroshock
