Higher Being

One step forward
And two steps back
Sadness and bad luck
I don’t lack
From the beginning
I was never quite right
Like a bird hatched from a shell
Not quite ready for flight
I look for guidance
On a daily basis
But all I get is confusion
Written all over your faces
I need the answer
From the Higher Being
Before I just give up
And stop being seen
