Higher Meaning Poem by Bron Dayvid

Higher Meaning

I want to free my mind from my body and relinquish myself from myself
To express this powerful energy… I must first find the inner me… who am I what is my true identity?
What is this gift I have been granted with this amazing ability… to transform anguish and anger into peace and tranquility
I sigh and what is exhaled is purified art… organic from the most important organ the heart
Unable to control the spiritual feeling that conquers my mind… I am surrounded by blackness but in the dark mist billions of words shine
Brighter than stars in the galaxy… but they shine so bright others fail to see… so I’ll take the liberty no wait it is my responsibility to illustrate and illuminate what they themselves cannot visualize
With these words I open up their eyes… open their minds and their souls I started with just a seed of knowledge and every time I write it grows and grows
And now my mind is a beautiful forest… that flourishes with thoughts of higher purpose I seek grander ideas… using these words as a pain reliever… to enrich the lives of those who are still believers
Because I myself at times am an extreme skeptic… so distraught with the world around me my thoughts get hectic… so many people around the world are dying and I will never accept it
As the way of life because those people we could have protected… but instead they get neglected… we cut off all communication with them they get... disconnected
And so many of you walk around like you’re not at all affected… but rage and killing is a disease and pretty soon we will all be infected
So I ask what must I do where am I needed… is there an arrow or a path where must I read it… is there a clue or map why am I so confused
Until I realize I am already doing what I was placed here to do… this right here these words I speak the thoughts I think
Are converted on the notepad through the pen with the black ink… and onto that paper words are constantly falling… poetry is the answer…to my higher calling
