Highways And Shadows Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

Highways And Shadows

A gray day...
Sky and highway match
In paisley gray with
Shadows of green,
Darting in between raindrops.
The rain dances on my window shield,
Jaggered edges breaking apart,
Slowing gliding playing tag with the wipers.
Trying to make me smile...
Splish splash!
Splish splash!
