Him Poem by Nicholas Hrynchuk

Him

When you talk about him,
My heart can't decide where to go,
Up because you're happy too,
Or down because it's not me

I know I can sound selfish,
But that's only cause,
My only wish,
Is for you to be with me

You treat him because he's something,
And me cause I'm nothing,
I wish you cared for me,
As if we were almost meant to be

It's stupid to think that you're ever going to fall,
When he's holding you high,
But I'll just try,
To be there if something goes wrong

I'm sorry if this makes you mad,
Or maybe even sad,
I couldn't help it,
I just went on with it
