His Own December Bride Poem by Joyce Hemsley

His Own December Bride

Charmaine is twenty-one at last
It happened in early September
Yes twenty-one years have slipped away
Her beautiful teens I well remember.
'Coming of Age' just had to be
Teen years can't last forever.
My smiling bride she soon will be
Married to me ~ in the church on the Lea
In the magical month of December.
